We have Kittens!

One of our cats just recently had 5 little Kitties. I know it may seem like a small thing to a lot of people, but sometimes when I see something amazing in creation I can't help but think, Wow, God was thinking of me today!
I guess new little fuzzy kitties are just another example of God wanting to just make someones day!

I know it has been forever and a day since we last posted. Well, Finally we're back.
Our family has been busy with lots of different things lately. Working, School , Playing, Flying. just to mention a few.

So what have we been doing lately?
Hunting season started this weekend, much to the delight of the the whole Vande Hei crew.
Ah, the time of the year when florescent Orange becomes the latest style, And all us head out into the woods to bring home the venison. Even Ezra and Debbie who can't carry their own guns yet come along to to enjoy the hunt. Tramping through the woods and Swamp with an extra hat on a stick held high above their heads so we can locate them at all times! It really makes for a funny sight!

Snowed in And yes we did find the dog, a little cold but otherwise fine.
He was moved to the garage to spend the night, after the third time he had to be dug out.

All the smaller children have been enjoying the firm mountians of snow.

While the rest of us were worrying about getting our cars out for work monday morning.

A visit from a very special Threesome!
Jedidiah Rachel and Kathryn Beemen arrived on the 12th (of December)
to spend two week's with us! We had Tons of Fun just being together!

I'm not to sure how Baby Bee turned into a lady bug!
It was soo much fun to have a baby in the house again.
the time seemed to go by so fast I still can't believe they where really here
for two whole weeks.

An Update!
Wow has it really been almost a month already since our last update!?
time really does fly! Well here's a little peak into what we have been doing,

Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving, (sorry so late) we had a great time with, Amos and Amy and the kids. Rachel and Jedidiah couldn't make it, so we are waiting
in suspense to see our new niece/granddaughter on the 12!

We went cherry picking it was Loads of fun and we got 30 buckets of cherries!!!!!!!

After Picking cherries we went to Lake Michigan. we were going to go swimming

we found out fast that the water was way to cold. We had fun anyway and got to see a
storm rolling across the water till it caught up to us and we all ran to the van.

Josh's Plane!
As many of you know Josh has been waiting and saving up for a plane for
a long time now.
Well, the waiting has ended and God has blessed him with a beautiful Airplane!
I'm sorry I can not give the detailed report on every mechnical part as Josh could,
But I'll try to at least describe What kind of airplane it is. and for those who want to know more about his new plane I'm sure Josh would love to tell you all about it if you want to give him a call! make sure you have a few hours to spare, he is very proud of it!
It's a Cessna 172 with a lycoming engine and it is IFR equiped with a nice stack of radios. He 's very proud of it.

A day at the air show
We were able to spend most of saterday at the Manitowoc air show. it's smaller than the EAA, but the airshow itself is still very impressive. I think this F16 is one of our favorite warbirds!

It was a wonderfull time being together as a family and just having fun!

the fire chief of manitwoc let Johnny try on his hat and coat.

I think it looks very nice, but maybe a few sizes to large!

It was a little bit rainy but thankfully they did not cancel the air show!

Guess What!?! our biggest brother turned 28!!!

Famous Amos, our loving, caring, wonderful big brother is always the one to have around when we got bored,
there are countless times that he has led us into all kinds of adventures, like filling up a pop can full of gas and fastening it tightly to the back of our wooden contraption that we called a airplane then putting the two littlest siblings on to pilot He was about to light the wick when mom caught them and made them stop. (thank God for Mothers!)
then there was the great "bee wars" ( guess who won!) or the great games invented like bop em on the bean with a rubber tangerine, (the objects used in this game were not really rubber, but a harder plastic, so it had the potential of being painful.) or the iky smell of fat burning, (this was much more fun than the last one, we played it quite often. I don't know why it had to have a name like that though!) and how could we ever forget Amos' army? or the traps in the sandbox?
the bible plays he directed us to do bring back the most hilarious memories. I didn't really like the part of acting the pig though. and the cardboard "gardens really didn't taste good. and you know when we were suppose to be rocks? well, I never could hold as still as a stone, even if it was only for a few minutes.

with his fun loving attitude, and all the adventures we shared we love our big brother very much and thank God for him.

Hi to all,

sorry we haven't posted in so long. our computer crashed and it has taken sooo long to fix it. it is all back together now and working, (most of the time!)
as for pictures...well our now our camera is experiencing difficulty's. so until we operate on it to get the delete butten working again, we'll just have to tell you what's up.

Most of us have kept busy (very busy!) planting our garden. it's so funny to see different personality's as we work, some have a "lets work hard and get this done quick" attitude. (unless they think the job is to big or they just don't feel like working.) and the others who can slip into their own world rather quickly. goes something like this.

I see them working. good, lets keep it up.

the next glance in that direction shows you they are occupied as they work with a self told story. that's OK, I think. as long as they don't too caught up in it.

the next time however, I look and their they sit eyes wide staring off in space as the story reaches the climax.
then comes the reminder (hopefully gentle) which shakes them back to earth, to the garden, to the rows of beans behind and in front. O yes, we need to keep planting beans, even if digger digwiller is almost drowning in his well. (their new made up story!)

as of right now we have everything in except the corn and peppers. the peppers just because we didn't get around to it yet. and the corn, because of two legged chicken monsters. OK they are just regular chickens, but they are so nasty! they'll walk right down the nicely planted rows eating corn. since we didn't want to spend a good half of the day catching them, we waited till tonight and locked them up. tomorrow we should be able to plant without the fear of our work being undone.

I know this is not very exciting, just the joys and sorrows of everyday life.

Thank You Lord, for days spent working and learning together.
I am amazed at the way you make beautiful wonderful plants grow out of little bitty seeds. your ways truly are past finding out. I love you Lord!

It's Spring!
The snow is melting, and the grass is just poking its head through the snow. this week we replaced the plastic on our greenhouse, so now it's all ready for all the garden seedlings we started in the house. now if we can just wait until after the last frost!
Abbie's birthday was a wonderful time! somehow we maneged to get most
everyone together to celebrate. What a Blast!

Togerther!Well they had enough snow in Colorado, at the end of a lovely week together, Mr and Mrs Jedidiah Beeman visited Dad and Josh as they passed through Co. and then because of the snow, It took them most of the night to get back to the house. Thankfully Jedidiah wanted to take a different route, in doing so they missed a avalanche, and again because of the snow they missed their flight home on Sunday....

A busy week.

here's some picture's from our busy week!

Eddie with Lot's of yummy cookies she baked for our neighborhood christmas party.

Naomi and Caleb made 8Olb summer sausages this week. turned out pretty good for the first try...looks great guy's!

besides all the cooking, baking and the Christmas party, Caleb and Naomi took the last big exams for the EMT course...still waiting for the results. Can't wait till we find out if there's 3 EMT-B's in our family!

I was watching the clock for a few moments today, I realized that every second that passed was one that I would never get back. do I spend every one of them according to the Masters plan? working as He would have me, planting seeds, striving to lead the lost to My Savior? The sands of time are sinking, which ones will matter in eternity?

After 5 years of hunting, Esther's first buck!

Esther told Grandma "Bye Grandma, I am going to go shoot "Monster Buck!"

A few hours later when Esther came back to show him to Grandma, Grandma yelled "Look Basil she's got "Monster Buck!"
